Brian D. Schwam has over 21 years experience as an international tax practitioner. Prior to joining U.S. Tax Advantage, LLC Brian was the Milwaukee office practice leader for international tax services for KPMG LLP focused on delivering international tax services to both publicly traded as well as closely held C corporations and pass-through entities. Prior to joining KPMG LLP, Brian co-led the Milwaukee international tax practice at Ernst & Young LLP. Brian started his career on the tax staff of Ernst & Young Milwaukee.
Brian has significant experience providing U.S. international tax and cross border tax advice related to local country tax planning, including foreign tax credit and repatriation planning, transfer pricing, global cash management, foreign tax credit utilization, earnings and profits, and export incentives. He has extensive experience working with the unique issues facing pass-through entities doing business globally. Brian also has significant experience working with the international tax issues and related reporting arising under FAS 109 and FIN 48.
Brian earned his BBA in Accounting and JD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and is a member of the tax sections of both the Wisconsin Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
