Marilyn R. Cook is a Certified Public Accountant with over 20 years of experience as an international tax practitioner. Prior to joining U.S. Tax Advantage, Marilyn was the Senior International Tax Manager at Smith International in Houston. Marilyn’s career has also taken her to Emerson Electric in St. Louis and Baker Hughes in Houston. She began her career in Deloitte’s Houston office.
Marilyn’s areas of expertise include 861-8, earnings and profits studies and foreign tax credit planning. She also has significant experience with FAS 109 and FIN 48 for multinational companies. Marilyn has extensive experience with multinational companies developing process improvement strategies including the implementation of data gathering and tax reporting systems and other technology solutions.
Marilyn earned her undergraduate degree from Texas State University and was awarded her M.S. in Accountancy and Taxation from the University of Houston.
